Dr. Scott Pickett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine at the Florida State University College of Medicine and is the Director of the Sleep Trauma and Emotional Processes (STEP) program, and Faculty at the FSU Center for Translational Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Pickett's research focuses on examining the symptoms of stress, anxiety disorders, and trauma reactions in young adults, as well as examining sleep as an outcome or a risk factor of emotional and physical health. 

Dr. Pickett received his Bachelors degree from Michigan State University, his Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University, completed his clinical internship at the Edward Hines, Jr., Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Hines Illinois, and his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.
