Graham J. McDougall is a behavioral scientist whose research examines the relationship of the aging brain and the process of engagement on brain plasticity. The pervasive memory lapses or senior moments may lead to cognitive engagement and/or decline in everyday function. SeniorWISE (Wisdom Is Simply Exploration), an efficacy-based treatment was developed and tested in a Phase III randomized clinical trial. This research program was built on twenty studies, four funded by the National Institutes of Health. SeniorWISE has been translated in both rural and urban settings.
