CTBScience Director Dr. Sylvie Naar will be inducted into the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida. Dr. Naar, along with Dr. Thomas Joiner in the FSU Department of Psychology, join 13 other researchers admitted this year.   

From FSU's Announcement, "Janet Kistner, FSU’s vice president of faculty development and advancement said, apart from the recognition, membership is viewed as a step toward admission into the  National Academy of Sciences." 

Dr. Naar's research achievements since her arrival to Florida State University in 2018 are unparalleled. As evident from her multiple recently funded NIH grants and the development of her research program,  Adolescent and Emerging Adult Health Equity Program as well as her Florida focused Youth Learning Health Community Scale It Up Florida, this recognition is well deserved.
