Dr. Budhwani is a Medical Sociologist who conducts studies to address the causes and consequences of health disparities among stigmatized, often underserved, populations that experience adverse  health outcomes in resource-constrained settings. Her prevention-focused research studies are informed by sociological constructs and adopt a multidimensional view of how to address public health and clinical care gaps.
