Asthma Research Program Team
Dr. Karen MacDonell is the North Florida Asthma Research Program Lead Investigator, the Adolescent and Emerging Adult Health Justice Program Lead Investigator, and an Associate Professor in the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Marie Denis-Luque works under the supervision of Dr. Karen MacDonell as Program Director.
Amy Hall is a Researcher at CTBScience Adolescent and Emerging Adult Health Justice Program and North Florida Asthma Research Program working under the supervision of Dr. Karen MacDonell.
Ed Bennett is a Researcher in the North Florida Asthma Research Program working under the supervision of Dr. Karen MacDonell.
Zachary Gallus is is a Graduate Research Assistant at CTBS and a Master of Public Health student at FSU. He currently assists with research objectives for the Adolescent and Emerging Adult Health Health Justice Program and the North Florida Asthma Research Program.
Education: Bachelor of Science, Biomedical Sciences, Minor in Environmental Science and Policy.
Savannah Gayle Phillips is a Research Assistant in the North Florida Asthma Research Program working under the supervision of Dr. Karen MacDonell.
Katie Hibbard is a Research Assistant in the North Florida Asthma Research Program working under the supervision of Dr. Karen MacDonell.
Lucia Bahamonde is a Florida State University sophomore majoring in biological science with a focus on public health. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but she has lived in Miami, Florida, her entire life. Lucia is currently volunteering with the Youth Health Justice Lab, where she is involved in the FLEX project.
Jordan Wilson is a health science pre-physical therapy student from Atlanta, GA, originally from Fontana, CA. He attends Florida A&M University and was paired with Dr. Karen MacDonnell and Marie Denis-Luque as a research mentee through the American Heart Association’s NextGen Scholars Program to assist in the Youth Health Justice Lab. Jordan aspires to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy and work with professional athletes.
